Thank you all for coming out to the December 5th reading I organized at Tailfeather. This was a lovely space to work, try new wines, and build community, and it will be missed 🖤

I completed my graduate MA thesis in the English department at NYU :’)
After I defended the aforementioned thesis, Ruby and I went to Dante in the West Village to celebrate. They had delicious holiday themed cocktails — I was partial to their gingerbread negroni.
After that, I had a large celebration at fun & cozy Greenpoint bar Troost, a new favorite spot of mine. The staff curate a great vibe, and the records they play are top notch. When I first walked in, I completely thought this stuffed dog was real.
The annual Secret Santa crew reconvened for another gorgeous year. I got Dani a plant and some chocolates, and Kim got me a gift card to my favorite mani pedi spot, Local Honey in Bushwick. We don’t miss!
I flew back home to LA and was greeted with this absolutely beautiful sunset on my first day back.
Rick and I took a gorgeous beach walk at Monarch Beach in Dana Point.
For those looking for a great happy hour in LA, I recommend the Blue Ribbon sushi social hour. My mom and I have a sweet tradition of going together every time I’m home; the deals are great, and the sushi is even better.
If you can’t tell, I ate a lot of salmon on this trip home — I love being pescatarian. Another recommendation I have for those visiting LA is brunch at French bakery and restaurant République. This is their potato pancake, which comes topped with smoked salmon, salmon roe, hollandaise, dill, and soft poached eggs. Try it and thank me later.
